NEW FURNITURE - A shabby chic ice box

Eccomi qui! Approfitto del giorno di festa per mostrarvi le fasi di costruzione della ghiacciaia.

Purtroppo non ho fatto le foto di ogni singolo passaggio, ma spero che quelle che vi mostrerò e le mie indicazioni, possano aiutarvi a capire come ho realizzato ogni dettaglio.

Come vi ho scritto ieri, non mi sono ispirata ad un modello reale. Ne ho guardati diversi, ma nessuno mi convinceva a tal punto da decidere di riprodurlo. Così ho seguito l'estro del momento.

AMANDA, MY DOLLHOUSE - Kitchen & Dining Room

Eccomi di nuovo online!

L’intervento è andato bene (grazie per tutti i vostri messaggi e commenti!). Sono tornata a casa Sabato di settimana scorsa e Martedì riprenderò con il mio lavoro. La settimana di riposo ci voleva proprio!

Oggi sono finalmente riuscita a creare qualcosa di nuovo per Amanda, la mia casa di bambole: una ghiacciaia ed un lavabo ad angolo. La prima ve la mostro questa sera…Per il secondo dovrete aspettare qualche giorno.

Ne approfitto per mostrarvi anche altre due piccole modifiche che ho apportato alla cucina: ho cambiato le sedie, ne ho appoggiata una in più contro la parete di destra (ci ho appoggiato sopra un orsacchiotto…li adoro!) ed ho appeso uno dei miei quadretti sulla parete di destra.

Sono piccole modifiche ma le adoro! Vi piacciono?

My kitchen is almost over !

If I make a list of things to do seems to me still miss you a lot, but if I look at what I have achieved today would say I’m making good progress.

La mia cucina è quasi finita!

Se faccio l’elenco delle cose da fare mi sembra manchi ancora molto, ma se guardo ciò che ho realizzato ad oggi direi che sono a buon punto.

I'm already planning the dining room and can’t wait to get to work and show you the first pictures .

Sto già progettando la sala da pranzo e non vedo l’ora di mettermi al lavoro e mostrarvi le prime foto.

NEW MINIATURES - A bottles rack & a bottle drainer

Here I am after another creative Sunday . I have to thank my friend Anna (click on her name to see her website) for this : she hosted me , together with our friend Cinzia, and we spent a whole afternoon working on miniatures .

Eccomi qui dopo un'altra Domenica creativa. Devo ringraziare la mia amica Anna (cliccate sul suo nome per vedere il suo sito) per questo: mi ha ospitata, insieme alla nostra amica Cinzia, ed abbiamo passato un intero pomeriggio a lavorare alla nostre miniature.

Oggi però vi voglio mostrare non solo ciò che ho fatto, ma anche l'originale a cui mi sono ispirata.

Here's my first creation : a bottles rack . For years, I want to make one , and finally came the opportunity to do so . I surch some photos on Pinterest and I found the one I show below .

Ecco la mia prima creazione: un cestello porta bottiglie. Sono anni che desidero farne uno e finalmente è arrivata l'occasione per farlo. Ho cercato un po' di foto in Pinterest ed ho trovato quello che vi mostro qui di seguito.

Another week has began. Yours how turned out ? For me , with a Sunday lived in peace and dedicated to miniatures.

Ecco iniziata un'altra settimana. La vostra com'è finita? Per me, con una Domenica vissuta in tranquillità e dedicata alle miniature.

It does not seem real . In a few weeks I'm making different things ! How I missed all this ?!

Non mi sembra vero. In poche settimane sto realizzando diverse cose! Quanto mi è mancato tutto questo?!

As you know I'm renewing my Georgian dollhouse ( the white one in the left column here ) . First I gave a hand of “rustic effect” medium, at the top of the wall . I also tried to disguise the shaped moulding , I do not like most . I filled the moulding holes with colla americana, a product similar to silicon , useful both to paste and to seal.

From Reality to Miniature

Given the success of my small Greenhouse, I thought I'd show you some of my other creation in comparison with reality.

Visto il successo riscosso dalla mia piccola serra, ho pensato di mostrarvi qualche altra mia creazione a confronto con la realtà.

I think it's fun to see how each of us reproduces a real object, don't you?
We all draw inspiration from reality, so many times the styles and subjects are the same, but the result is never the same.

Credo sia divertente vedere come ognuno di noi riproduce un oggetto vero, non trovate anche voi?

Tutti ci ispiriamo alla realtà, quindi molte volte gli stili ed i soggetti sono gli stessi, ma il risultato non è mai uguale.

The taste, style and the ability of each of us make is that each creation is different from that of another person, even if the true model is the same.
This is one of the beautiful sides of our hobby.

Il gusto, lo stile e le capacità di ognuno di noi fanno si che ogni nostra creazione sia diversa da quella di un'altra persona, anche se il modello reale è lo stesso.

Questo è uno dei lati belli del nostro hobby.

I finally found the time make some photos to my creations ... the pictures taken at the show are certainly not suitable to my etsy shop!

One of the first items I will add on my shop, is the small

Greenhouse.

Finalmente ho trovato il tempo di fotografare le mie creazioni...le foto fatte in fiera non sono certo adatte al mio negozio etsy!

It's one of my creations I like most to the simple fact that I kept for many time the photo in my sketchbook and do not expect more than the chance to achieve it.

 

It took me 

two full days of work!

E' uno degli articoli a cui sono più affezionata per il semplice fatto che conservavo da diverso tempo la foto nel mio quadernetto degli schizzi e non aspettavo altro che l'occasione giusta per realizzarla.

Mi ha richiesto

due interi giorni di lavoro!

I do not deny that the first attempt has failed ... but the second I got the result I wanted ...

The roof opens, so you can place a pot of flowers inside.
The drawer opens too ... it collects dried petals and leaves ... isn't it cute? Well, the real one has it, I had to do it!

The color is the one I like best at the moment...

Non nego che il primo tentativo è fallito...ma al secondo ho ottenuto il risultato che volevo...

Il tetto si solleva, così potete appoggiare un vasetto di fiori all'interno.

Il cassetto si apre...dovebbe servire per raccogliere i petali e le foglie che, seccati, cadono dalla pianta...carino no? Beh, quella vera ce l'ha, non potevo non farlo!

Il colore è quello che in questo momento mi piace di più...l'

azzurro grigio!

I wanted to share with you how I created one of my miniatures.
I am inspired by reality but I rather show the real object I reproduce in miniature...

By the way, I apologize if I do not provide the source of the photos of the greenhouse (the real one) but I can't find it. The photo is in fact the photo of an image I printed some times ago... so I do not know if I found it in a magazine or on the web, sorry!

Ho voluto farvi partecipi di come è nata una delle mie creazioni.

Mi ispiro sempre alla realtà ma non mostro mai com'è l'oggetto reale...

A proposito, mi scuso se non fornisco la fonte della foto delle serra (quella in scala 1:1) ma non la trovo più. La foto è infatti la foto di un'immagine che ho stampato...quindi non so più se l'ho trovata su una rivista o su internet!
