SOME NEW MINIATURES...

How few things I have done in these last months, but how many things I would like to tell you! The last time I wrote here on the blog I was recovering ... my scar is fine and so I am!

As for miniatures, I was more present on FB and on Ig that here on the blog. I tried several apps to be able to more easily update it, maybe before going to sleep or when I wake up, but none satisfied me a lot. There is always something wrong or some that needs to be improved ... patience ... I came back to my dear computer!

Quante poche cose ho fatto in questi mesi, ma quante cose vorrei raccontarvi! L’ultima volta che ho scritto qui sul blog ero ancora convalescente…La mia cicatrice sta bene e così anche io!

Per quanto concerne le miniature, sono stata più presente su Fb e su Ig che qui sul blog. Ho provato diverse app per poterlo aggiornare con maggior facilità, magari prima di andare a dormire o al mio risveglio, ma nessuna mi ha soddisfatto molto. C’è sempre qualcosa che non funziona o che deve essere migliorato…pazienza…torno al mio caro computer!

Going back to what I have done in recent months, apart from being kidnapped from job as if the absence after the intervention had been about months, I created a little bit and put my life in order.

I really realized that I need to better organize my creative position, because since I do not have a craftroom, I struggle to do the slightest thing. I remember a lot of friends that told me how much more convenient to have everything at hand and not having to continually store things in a closet ... they're so right!

Tornando a ciò che ho fatto in questi mesi, a parte essere stata rapita dal lavoro come se l’assenza dopo l’intervento fosse stata di mesi, ho creato qualcosina e rimesso ordine nella mia vita.

Ho capito che ho bisogno di organizzare al meglio la mia postazione creativa, perché da quando non ho più una stanza hobby, fatico a fare la minima cosa. Ricordo molte amiche che mi raccontavano di quanto fosse più comodo avere tutto a portata di mano e non dover ogni volta riporre le cose in un armadio…avevano proprio ragione!

So, waiting to finish the work on my new studio (will start in mid-September), I created a “moving creative station”: with a raskog Ikea cart! I discovered it on Pinterest ... it has won the hearts of many bloggers and it is easy to see why! Take a look and you will see with your own eyes!

I like it a lot and thanks to it I have it I’m able to do many things, from watercolor to the hand lettering (two things I wanted to try for so many times!!) and also some dollhouse miniatures!!

So, in my opinion, it has its uses!

Quindi, nell’attesa di finire i lavori al mio nuovo studio (inizieranno a metà Settembre), mi sono creata una postazione creativa mobile: con il raskog Ikea! Ho scoperto questo carrellino tramite Pinterest…ha conquistato il cuore di molte blogger ed è facile capirne il perché! Date un’occhiata e vedrete con i vostri occhi!

A me piace un sacco e da quando ce l’ho sono riuscita a fare molte cose, dall’acquerello all’hand lettering…due cose che volevo provare da diverso tempo…qualche minitura…

Insomma a mio avviso ha la sua utilità!

Returning to miniatures, now I will show you the last done. The last time I talked about the dining room, hoping to soon begin its renovation, but unfortunately is slow ... mostly for lack of ideas and perhaps space. In fact it is not very large nor easy, so I struggle to find original ideas that are workable.

For the moment I just placed a faux fireplace, like a desserte and I created a little shelf inspired by one seen on Pinterest (if you care I found out that Art of mini sells a similar kit!).

Tornando alle miniature, ora vi mostrerò gli ultimi lavori fatti. L’ultima volta vi parlavo della sala da pranzo, nella speranza di iniziare presto la sua ristrutturazione, ma purtroppo va a rilento…più che altro per mancanza di idee e forse di spazio. Infatti non è molto grande né agevole, quindi fatico a trovare delle idee originali che siano fattibili.

Per il momento ho solo sistemato un finto camino, come fosse una desserte ed ho creato un mobile ispirandomi ad uno visto su Pinterest (se vi interessa ho scoperto che Art of mini vende un kit simile!). 

The idea of the fireplace was born almost by accident ... I had found a resin fireplace, built long ago by a friend. Because it was defective (see below the photo of the back ... the top down and the thickness of the chimney itself is too thin to be able to make a real one) but in good condition, I decided to keep it ... just after I thought of using it as a support surface for the dining room. Under the fake gate it’s just fine, is’nt it?

L’idea del camino è nata quasi per caso…avevo ritrovato un camino di resina, realizzato tempo fa da un amico. Poiché era difettoso (vedrete di seguito la foto del retro…la parte superiore scende e lo spessore del camino in se è troppo sottile per poterne fare un camino vero e proprio) ma tutto sommato in buono stato, ho deciso di tenerlo…solo dopo ho pensato di usarlo come piano di appoggio per la sala da pranzo. Sotto il finto cancello ci sta proprio bene, non trovate?

The shelf I did as usual from cardboard. Aside from being always one of my favorite materials, is what today makes me less problems in the cut ... I spent years cutting wood by hand!

Unfortunately I do not find more pictures of each constraction steps, but as I said Art of mini sells a similar kit. I have embellished by adding a jewelery item, which I really like. In the photos you see here the shelf is not well shown ... I'll just make some other picture ...

 

Il mobiletto l’ho fatto come sempre in cartone. A parte essere da sempre uno dei miei materiali preferiti, è quello che ad oggi mi crea meno problemi nel taglio…ho trascorso anni a tagliare il legno ed ora la mia mano è un po’ provata…

Purtroppo non ritrovo più le foto dei singoli passaggi, ma come vi dicevo Art of mini vende un kit molto simile. Io l’ho impreziosito aggiungendo un elemento da bigiotteria, che mi piace molto. Nelle foto che vedete qui non è bene visibile…le rifarò…

Then I finished the front porch, to which I would add the side columns ... For the moment I made the floor boards, always with cardboard and added two pretty accessories: a pot hanger and a birdhouse, which eventually I decided to place to the side of the balcony.

 

 

I also mounted another Art of mini kit, which is more suitable for a shop or a restaurant, so do not know yet where I'll put it.

  

Poi ho rifinito il portico d’ingresso, al quale vorrei aggiungere delle colonnine laterali…Per il momento ho fatto i listelli del pavimento, sempre con il cartonlegno ed ho aggiunto due elementi creativi: un porta vasi ed una casetta da uccellini, che alla fine ho deciso di posizionare di lato al balcone. 

Ho anche montato un altro kit di Art of mini, che però è più adatto ad un negozio o ad un ristorante, quindi non so ancora dove lo metterò.

 

I forgot! I would like to transform the attic into a single apartment, but once done this last furniture, I thought it would be nice to make it a b & b. What idea do you like best? In both cases, I will have to decide whether and how to add a staircase to access it ...

Now I leave you with some picture of the moulding I put under the birdhouse. I did not like hanging as it is. In my opinion it gives a touch of elegance to my dollhouse. I have a real one (shown in photo) made of polystyrene, which I put in my home... too fun to see them side by side!

 

Dimenticavo! La soffitta della casetta vorrei dedicarla ad un appartamento separato dal resto della casa, ma una volta fatto questo mobile, ho pensato potesse essere carino farne un b&b. Quale idea vi piace di più? In entrambi i casi dovrò decidere se e come fare la scala per accedervi…

Ora vi saluto, vi lascio con la foto del capitello che ho deciso di mettere al di sotto della casetta degli uccellini. Non mi piaceva appesa così com’è. Il capitello, a mio avviso, le da quel tocco di elegante che si addice molto alla mia casetta. Tra le altre cose ne ho uno in polistirolo, che ho messo in casa (si vede in foto)…troppo forte vederli l’uno accanto all’altro!
