A New Project

Hello girls!

Finally came the holidays and I can devote more time to miniatures. I have some back order and many projects that I have to work on.

One of these is a 1/12 sale dollhouse.
I bought it about two years ago in a shop and I discovered some time after that is a copy (of poor quality) of the Arthur House by Greenleaf.

Leafing through a book of French houses and castles French Country Hideaways (a wonderful book purchased several years ago in France) I came across in the Maison du Moulin and I immediately thought that I could take inspiration to this one to modify my dollhouse.
My house will not be as big as the real one, but this will inspire me to finish the outside ... I really like the stones in sight and the shutters of pale colour.

I think that mines will be powder blue, but they sure have a heart engraved like that my friend Genziana has photographed for me this summer in Provence: I think they are so beautiful!

I do not have a clear idea of the interior, I just know that I would even finish the interior walls with the stones, at least the walls of the ground floor.
Unfortunately the house is very small so it will be difficult to furnish it ... I'm looking for some ideas in the various magazines I purchased.

I have an uncontrollable passion for all 1:1 décor magazines: I have so many magazines that I have to collect the pages that interest me most in large notebooks that are closed with the elastic (because when I pasted pictures they are hard to close!) ... I wonder if I can find some great ideas for my new house.

 

Of course, if I can in my project, very ambitious, I'll share with you the various stages of decoration: I think you all want to know how I did turn a simple dollhouse in something special!

Ciao ragazze!

Finalmente sono arrivate le vacanze e potrò dedicare più tempo alle miniature. Ho qualche ordine arretrato e molti progetti a cui devo lavorare.

Uno fra questi è questa casetta in scala 1:12.

L'ho acquistata circa due anni fa in un negozio di modellismo ferroviario ed ho scoperto qualche tempo dopo che è una copia (di qualità pessima) dell'Arthur House della Greenleaf.

Sfogliando un libro di ville e castelli francesi French Country Hideaways ( un libro bellissimo acquistato diversi anni fa in Francia ) mi sono imbattuta nella Maison du Moulin ed ho subito pensato che mi sarei potuta ispirare a questa per modificare ed abbellire la mia casetta in kit.

La mia casa non sarà grande come quella reale, ma mi ispirerò a questa per rifinire l'esterno...mi piacciono molto i sassi in vista e le persiane di colore tenue.

Credo che le mie saranno azzurro polvere, ma di sicuro avranno un cuore inciso come le persiane che la mia amica Genziana ha fotografato per me in Provenza quest'estate: belle vero?!

Non ho ancora un'idea ben precisa dell'arredo interno, so solo che vorrei rifinire anche i muri interni con le pietre a vista, quanto meno i muri del piano terra.

Purtroppo la casetta è molto piccola quindi sarà difficile arredarla...sto infatti cercando qualche idea nelle varie riviste di arredamento che ho acquistato.

Io ho una passione irrefrenabile per tutte le riviste di arredamento 1:1 e ne acquisto talmente tante che sono costretta a raccogliere le pagine che mi interessano di più in grossi quaderni che si chiudono con l'elastico (perchè quando sono pieni di immagini incollate faccio fatica a chiuderli!)...chissà se troverò delle idee adatte alla mia nuova casetta.

Di certo, se riuscirò in questo mio progetto, non poco ambizioso, condividerò con voi le varie fasi di decorazione della casetta: credo possa piacere a tutte sapere come ho fatto a trasformare una semplice casa in kit!
